  1. Week 1 (ending March 20th):

    1. Pick your groups/pick a team name.  Share contact information. (I'm thinking of allowing groups to be 2-4 people. I really want students to work with other students they feel truly comfortable with.)

    2. Overview of Project Citizen.  What is public policy?

    3. Pick a spokesperson.  Have that person email me by 3 pm on Friday with 3 possible topic ideas (in order of preference).

  2. Week 2 (ending March 27th):

    1. Topics assigned by teacher (I want this step in order to guide you to topics that I know will be easy to research from home).

    2. Research!  Find three articles for your topic.  Write a summary and post it via email.  If you prefer share your articles with each other and me via Office 365.  Complete one research article for weeks two, three and four.  Complete your first research article and submit it to me via email.

  3. Week 3 (ending April 3rd):

    1. Collaborate with your group.  Assign each group member a role/task.  Help each member to contribute to a summary of the problem, the three alternate policies, and the proposed policy.  You may wish to use ZOOM to collaborate.  A link to the free software is under my Tools tab.  Complete your second research article and submit it to me via email.

  4. Week 4 (ending April 17th):

    1. Write short essays.  These will be used as a script for your portion of your presentation.  Please make sure that they contain enough content for a two minute presentation.  I do not expect you to go into the community and conduct an interview.   Complete your third research article and submit it to me via email.

  5. Week 5 (ending April 24th):

    1. Create final product/film your portion of the project.  You may use any presentation software that your group chooses.  You may choose to meet as a group and ZOOM or Skype it to me or you can record it using Power Point or Voicethread.

    2. Submit final project via email or link.
